A remedial massage is tailored to the clients needs and may range from an invigorating massage of the more superficial layers of the muscle which promotes fluid circulation, to the slow moving release and unwinding of deep muscular holding patterns.
Remedial massage is effective in the treatment of a wide variety of ailments, keeping muscles and soft tissues well-toned, improving postural alignment and relieving stress and tension.
Through the nurture of touch, massage creates an atmosphere of healing and acceptance and soothes the nervous system and the emotions, leaving body and mind revitalised.
You can expect some degree of relief after one session, but usually multiple sessions will provide the most benefit.

Is massage during pregnancy safe?
Getting a massage is a little like gentle exercise for your body; it increases your blood and lymph circulation, making your heart work just a bit harder. So we advise you to contact your doctor or obstetrician before your massage.
How will you lie on our the table?
Most women find it uncomfortable to lie facedown right from the start of pregnancy because of their tender, swollen breasts. On the other hand, it’s not a good idea to lie flat on your back either, particularly once you’re past mid-pregnancy, because the weight of your uterus puts too much pressure on the vein that returns blood from your legs to your heart.
For these reasons, we use a special pillow with hollowed-out areas and special pillows to accommodate your belly, and often your breasts as well, so you can lie facedown.
If you find this position stresses your lower back, you can lie on your side with a full-length body pillow for support.
